Rey was picked up by the First Order as a child on Jakku and became Kylo's apprentice. Finn was recognised as force-sensitive at a young age and adopted by Snoke/some Sith knight to train. Despite heavy indoctrination they both grew up struggling to embrace the dark side.

Now Rey is on the cusp of finishing her apprenticeship, but Kylo Ren is reluctant to let her go after falling in love with her. She's completely, intimately attached to him having known no other family her whole life, but isn't sure whether she's sexually attracted to him.

Then she meets Finn, a graduated Sith Knight serving the First Order, who just like her can't quite accept the reality they've been given.



+bonus: Rey has no healthy concept of love and genuinely can't decide if she wants Kylo even though he's been a big brother to her
