I didn't start out with the intention of having Kylo cry more than the normal amount, but then I realized the first time they do this Kylo is critiquing Hux's idea and Hux snaps, "Well, you obviously wouldn't have the Force in this scenario, Ren," and Kylo's like, oh. And he actually would let Hux lock him in his rooms if he could pretend to be that Ben forever.
