There were so many Resistance prisoners to choose from. Being one of the highest ranking officers in the First Order had its perks as Hux has first choice of what to do with each prisoner. At first Hux considers taking FN-2187 as a pet, but he eventually decides that FN-2187 would be better suited to servicing the ranks of stormtroopers that he had once been a part of. He has little interest in the girl, Rey, and even if he had, she was Kylo's to turn to the dark side or keep as a slave. The prisoner that Hux's thoughts keep returning to is the accursed pilot that had been the one to deliver the crippling blow to the Starkiller Base, the loss of which had nearly had Hux executed or worse. When Hux finally meets Poe Dameron in person, he decides that yes, this one is going to be His.

Hux has Poe taken to his quarters with instructions to make sure he is cleaned up and presentable for when Hux finishes his duties and returns. The rest of the day passes slowly for Hux, preoccupied as he is with the thoughts of his new bed warmer bound to his bed and waiting for him. Finally, he walks into his quarters and is not disappointed by the sight of Poe Dameron tied spread-eagle in the center of his bed. The glare that is leveled at him brings a grin to his face, he does enjoy a challenge and bringing this pilot to heel will certainly be a most delightful one.
