This is exquisite, just like Hux's tea knowledge. :D I read your replies, and I love that Leia and Han have tea preferences in canon somewhere. (Han strikes me as a strong black coffee type, but maybe the tea is the SW equivalent of that.) Thank you for researching it, and I'm impressed by how you made it your own! I'm going to run off and explore the tea section on Wookieepedia, haha, but first, I have to tell you:
I knew Ren's tea cup was Japanese-inspired! :D That makes me so ridiculously happy. I was like, "Is that...? Yup, totally a wabi-sabi chawan." I don't know much about tea masters and ceramic designers, so I had to look up Oribe. Very influential guy, apparently. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chawan (tea bowl, originally from China) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi (very basically the aesthetic of imperfection) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Japanese_tea_ceremony_equipment (just for fun and to blow people's minds about Japanese tea culture) Personally I'm more of a black tea than a green tea person, but I find the tea culture just as fascinating... in an amateur, "that foreign language sure is pretty" kind of way... and I'm learning Japanese. >:P Also, I almost bought a glass teapot the other day, haha. They're so cool.
