OP here! You know, I was in a SADNESS and BITTERSWEET ANGST mood when I wrote this, so that's what I was going for with the prompt. Like one of those depressing indie movies where they spend the whole two hours hurting each other emotionally and then feeling all hollow about it.

...but if you have an idea for a comedy about two horribly mismatched people who are trying to date for the good of the Empire but still can't stand each other, I would also read the heck out of that. Go nuts either way!
