Being away is agony.
Kylo spent years without seeing his alpha in person. But the body is not the mind, and so his hologram was enough. (Not enough, never enough, but… enough, all the same.)
He has not seen even a hologram of his alpha in, well. He doesn’t know how long. This far out of Snoke’s range, Kylo loses his sense of time. Loses his sense of anything that isn’t this quiet, searing pain.
“What’s wrong with him?” one of his Resistance captors asks of another.
Kylo groans.
“Looks like bond sickness,” the other replies. “Got himself a little mate back there somewhere.”
The first captor makes a sound of disgust. “Wonder how a man like you finds himself a mate,” he says, voice raised, questioning.
Kylo only groans again.
