This was such a treat to read, I loved every word of it. I even loved that cruel, cruel open ending, it matches so brilliantly with the mood of the story. :D
(Of course, that won't stop me from hoping there may yet be a sequel with a Darkpilot endgame. I guess I'll have to keep a watchful eye, just in case.)
